Ballet classes are designed to teach and develop the
young ballet dancer. We emphasize the development of
body strength, and coordination for the learning of
classical ballet. We continuously strive to create a
nurturing, comfortable, and fun atmosphere during all of
our classes.

Pre Ballet
Age 5 Years
Students begin the study of classical Ballet through age appropriate technique focusing on coordination, musical and spatial awareness. Elements of creative movement are still explored to enhance the basic Ballet movements. -
Ballet
I through Ballet V
Ages 6 - 11 Years
Here is where students are introduced to the fundamentals of Ballet. Starting at the barre students develop strength, discipline, and proper body alignment. Continuing with center work the student develops self-expression while exploring quality of movement. -
Intermeidate II
Ages 11 & Up
At this level the student is required to talk at least two Ballet classes per week and will have the option of adding Pointe class to their schedule. The more serous Ballet student may also be interested in Performing, and will have that opportunity with The Providence Youth Ballet. -
Pointe
Ages 12 & Up
Intended for Intermediate Ballet students, this is the next step for the serous Classical ballet students, available to children enrolled in two or more Ballet classes with at least three years of formal ballet training. -
